Social butterfly, is far from being one of my characteristics. Within my group for our first task. I would be considered as the introverted one. So we decided to try what some would believe to be a social experiment. Placing me at the fore-front. We wanted to explore different social settings 'Motives' that we as black women actually did.
However I wish that we were able to this task later in course time as at the start of school was freshers week. Only one type of socialising was happening - partying.
We wanted to show our class was activities black women actually enjoy as diversity in our class is scarce, with that I made assumptions that our class mates believe that all we like to do is party which is far from the truth. After Freshers Week, the idea of just partying died down. Mostly we'd stay and cook in people halls even celebrating holidays together.
To conclude I wish we able to do this task later as we would have been able to explore everything that we wanted to in an appropriate and unrushed manner. So instead of writing about motives our peers could have actually experienced with us. Gaining a new understanding for what we as young black women actually like to do.
